- Comments: Christopher is an amazing actor! If you can't say anything else about him, you can still say he is good at what he does! I love that he can go from Shakespeare to modern day criminal to time-travelling alien with seamless transition. It also doesn't hurt that he's adorable and is a really good person (I'd sure love to know him). I'm so glad I get to own his fanlisting.

- Comments: What can I say about Jon Hamm? He's adorable, gorgeous, funny, extremely talented, and an all around great guy. What else needs to be said. I was very sad to learn that his last listing closed, and after making sure I had enough time, I applied for him and was thrilled to get the approval. Jon is all things I listed and more, and the more people know that, the better. After years of toil, Jon is finally getting his due. There's just that something special about him...

- Comments: Like most Americans, I first saw Matthew in Pride And Prejudice and adored both him and the movie to pieces. But there is really so much more to him than just that piece, as I'm sure most Brits can attest. He is incredibly versitile, acting in various roles in shows such as 'Spooks', 'Death At A Funeral', 'Frost/Nixon', and many more. He can go from modern day to costume drama with seamless transistion. My only real problem with all of this is that, as an American, I don't get see his work as soon as it comes out. Some of it I can't see at all! He is amazingly talented, and I am so happy to own his fanlisting in addition to his lovely wife's. Major thanks to Sarah for letting me adopt it!
- Subject: Sidney Poitier
- Name: 'Classic Gentleman'

- URL: http://poitier.motored-heart.net
- Comments: I've always admired Poitier as a great actor, but it was only since last year that I became a serious fan of his, after seeing 'A Patch Of Blue'. Since then I've seen about ten of his films and will definitely see more as they air on TCM (they always do). He's led quite an interesting life, and in addition to actor and author, he is also the Bahamian ambassador to Japan and is a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, awarded in 1974. In 2009 he was presented the Presidential Medal Of Freedom from President Barack Obama. Adopted from Ashley.

- Members: 06
- URL: http://bacall.motored-heart.net
- Comments: While she is definitely a well-known actress from the tail-end of cinema's 'golden age', I feel that Bacall is highly underrated in her talents. She is an amazing actress and I respect her not only because her talents and abilities, but because she has stayed strong even through some extremely tough times in her life. I found it sad that there wasn't a fanlisting already devoted to her, so I figured I should just go ahead and apply. The title of the fanlisting sounds like a downer, but it's actually a play on the title of her autobiography. It describes how even though she's been alone for a lot of her life, she is still a strong woman.
- Subject: Keeley Hawes

- Comments: Keeley is a new love for me. Only this year have I discovered her, first through Spooks and then through Ashes To Ashes. I really liked her in Spooks, and really really like her in Ashes to Ashes. I'm making a concerted effort to see everything else of hers that I can. Keeley is versatile and absolutely gorgeous. She's also really smart and funny and totally confident with herself and her body, and that just makes me love her more.
- Subject: Bridget Moynahan

- Comments: Bridget Moynahan is hands down my favourite actress and pretty much favourite celebrity. It was such a great day when I was approved for her fanlisting. It may seem self-involved, but I feel like I am the best person out there to maintain a fanlisting for her. I've seen almost all of her movies, and I own a few too. She really is such a great actress, and I feel she is totally underappreciated in Hollywood. However, she's been working on two big projects that could spell serious success for her. She is also strong in the face of hardship, and is a wonderful mom to son Jack.

- Comments: This is a very special album to me, so it was a dream come true to be able to adopt it. I have known who Lily Allen is longer than I've been listening to her music - this love affair sort of happened by chance. To skip a long and boring story, I purchased this album and fell in love immediately. I was blown away by how much I liked it (lately I've had to listen to an album about five times before falling madly in love with it). I am now a Lily Allen adorer and am so glad she made this album because it just makes me feel so good!

- Comments: This was the very first Foo Fighters album I ever owned, so it's definitely a big deal for me to own this one. Because of this albums and all the rest of them, I'm definitely a very big Foo Fighters fan. Adopted from Karen.

- Comments: I'm a huge fan of primates so when I got Sam's email saying she needed to give up the Chimps FL for adoption, I jumped at the chance. Chimps are amazing and incredible creatures and I definitely lucked out with this one. Chimps are still very misunderstood at this point in our history, and I'm always keen to learn anything new that comes out about them, like their habits and rituals and psychologies. They are a species that needs to be greatly respected (like all animals), and the mistreatment of them in the entertainment industry continues to sadden me. One of my new life mottos is - apes aren't toys. Adopted from Sam in May.

- Comments: These neat little creatures desperately needed their own fanlisting. We have lots of these down on the Texas coast and they are just a delight to see. They are in the same order as whales and dolphins, 'cetaceans', but are members of their own seperate family. They have many of the same characteristics as dolphins, but looking closely you can see how different they are. I was very close to naming this fanlisting 'Not Dolphins' but in the end went for something simpler.
- Subject: Sandpipers

- URL: http://sandpiper.motored-heart.net/
- Comments: I've been fascinated by sandpipers for awhile now, and when I noticed they didn't have a fanlisting, I jumped at the chance. There are many different species of 'sandpipers' (also known as 'snipes'), and their common family name is 'scolopacidae', so that's why I gave it that name. They're very cute and have these adorable long, narrow bills that are perfect for digging around for food.

- Name: 'World's Cutest Kitten'
- Opened: 19 June 2009

- Comments: Nermal was always my favourite Garfield pal. I even had a stuffed 'Nermal' when I was little. I always thought he was a girl cat, though, so I named my grey cat Nermal. Despite her being a female. Even though Nermal is apparently a jerk, I still love him and the way he can annoy Garfield just by being there. He really is the world's cutest kitten.

- Comments: While Ted Hughes is a sometimes controversial figure, there can be no denying that he was an amazing writer and one of the best poets of the 20th century. I could be considered a Ted Hughes sympathiser, but Sylvia Plath is one of my most favourite authors, and I fully believe you can be fans of both, and appreciate both's talent as great writers of their time.

- Comments: It's probably beyond obvious how much I love the Foo Fighters. I named my website after one of their songs, after all. There aren't many words I can use to describe how much I adore these guys, except that they always make me feel good when I'm listening to their music or watching their videos or even reading their interviews. For me, the Foos translate into one thing - happiness.
- Subject: Metallica

- URL: http://metallica.motored-heart.net
- Comments: My favourite band second only to The Beatles. Metallica is my light and my dark. I can honestly say that I would not be here if it wasn't for Metallica and it's members. Talk about music that moves you. I own every album and have felt every song on so many levels. Metallica is music you cannot put into words. There is a reason they are one of the most popular bands in the history of modern music. They appeal to such a wide array of different people, and made heavy metal okay to listen to (not that it wasn't already okay for some, but Metallica made it more user-friendly). I myself am a 'Metallica late-bloomer' - I've only been into them for ten years. But there are some people who have been there since the begining, for almost 30 years now. Sometimes nothing beats a good Metallica song.

- Comments: I discovered the New Pornographers about three years ago when I read about them in Spin Magazine. I got my hands on 'Mass Romantic' and 'Electric Version' and was simply blown away. I had never heard anything like them, and they appealed to me immediately. Their mix of rock and pop and folk blends perfectly together. I now own all of their studio releases, and am patiently awaiting a new one.

- Comments: When I first started watching Ashes To Ashes, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. But by the second episode I was in love with it, and in love with Alex Drake. She is amazing, to say the least, and her chemistry with Gene Hunt always leaves me wanting more. I only wish I lived in the UK so I wouldn't have to wait for the new season! And the name came to me right away.

- Comments: I'm a big fan of pretty much all the Without A Trace characters (except Elena) and when the opportunity came up for me to adopt Vivian's FL I knew I had to do it, because she's definitely a character who needs FL representation. She's pretty much the mom of the group, and has been on multiple occasions Jack Malone's saving grace. What's not to love? Adopted from Samantha in March.

- Comments: I am so hooked on this podcast! At first I was afraid to listen to it because I wasn't sure if they were going to totally make fun of 'believers', in specific, alien visitation and abductees. Which is something I fully believe in. That's sort of like my thing. But they haven't made fun of anyone who didn't deserve it. And while I may believe in something that's considered paranormal, I love science. I break for science! And this show is all about teaching and supporting critical thinking, and getting the message out there that science rocks and that critical thinking is important to everyone!

- Name: 'Everything Ends'
- Opened: 29 June 2009
- Members: 08
- URL: http://102.motored-heart.net/
- Comments: Definitely one of my favourite episodes of Doctor Who ever. By the time it's over it's clear that Rose and the Doctor are mad for each other. And that they share a special relationship that the Doctor never had with any of his Companions, before or after. At least that's the way I feel. Adopted from Mary.

- Episode Title: No Reason; 2x24
- Name: 'Hallucination'
- Opened: 08 August 2009

- URL: http://noreason.motored-heart.net/
- Comments: What I lovingly referred to as 'the last great episode of a once great show'. I used to be obsessed with House, mad about it. Then the show started to suck and my heart broke. This was the last great episode. This episode was the reason why I fell in love with this show - the story and the actors. And now it just isn't the same. I miss you good House. Please come back. Adopted from Karla.
- Show: Torchwood
- Episode Title: Out Of Time; 1x10
- Name: 'Fallen Through Time'
- Opened: 26 May 2009
- Members: 12
- URL: http://time.motored-heart.net/
- Comments: This is actually a really sweet episode, in a way. And in another way it's very sad. This episode really had me starting to like Owen, because previously I really just couldn't stand him. But then Diane shows up and he is just this totally different person. It was neat to see the crew interacting with these people from the past, and it was heartwrenching having to see these people try to adjust to their new lives. Adopted from Emma-Jane.
Musicians -

- Comments: I've been a of Juliana's for a few years now. I love her kind of music, and I love what she and her contemporaries did for 90s female music (people like Belly and Lisa Loeb, et al). Her most current music is still just as kickass as her old work, and I'm really glad she is still alive and kicking, musically speaking.

- Comments: Oh Shifty. I am so happy to own this fanlisting. I adore this man so much. It is incredibly hard for me to choose between Dave, Taylor, or Chris as my favourite Foo Fighter, but these days I'm pretty sure it's Chris. In addition to guitarist duties for the Foos, Chris also heads up a few different bands, including (my favourite) Jackson United. He is multitalented, intelligent, and definitely not bad to look at. I'm happy to be able to represent Chris in the fanlisting world.

- Comments: I've been a nightly viewer of Rachel's show since September and haven't looked back since. As a far left winger, it's always nice to see and hear someone expressing the things I think and feel. But the best part about Rachel's show is that she's pretty balanced, considering. She's also an out and proud lesbian, something that I majorly respect her for.
- Subject: Keith Olbermann

- Comments: I've been watching Keith as long as I've been watching Rachel, but I've been a mini fan of his for a long time now (much bigger fan these days). Like Rachel, he expresses the things I want to hear. But unlike Rachel, he doesn't make an effort to be balanced and I love it. That's what the rest of the news is for, afterall. I think he's hilarious and I have a huge crush on him and am totally not ashamed to admit it.

- Comments: I was very luck to get this fanlisting! I love this couple. In fact, there aren't that many words to use to describe how wonderful it is. It's a true love story of two dynamic people who found eachother and fell madly in love. Their story has stood the test of time, and and everytime I hear or read about them it gives me goosebumps. The website url is 'baby' after Bogie's nickname for Bacall. Adopted from Missy.

- Comments: Talk about fairy tales. My begining fascination and all around love for these two started when I began watching Spooks earlier this year. I kept thinking to myself 'Zoe should get with Tom'. Little did I know that they already had gotten together, in real life. About a month ago I was reading an article on one of my guilty pleasures, Celebrity Baby Blog, and there's Keeley, talking about her kids. And then I see that she's married to Matthew! I was just bowled over with glee. It sounds really weird but I just love them together. Their story is so beautiful, and so hopeful.

- Comments: I love this miniseries so so much! I love the book even more. John Galsworthy told an amazing story about family ties, social standing, love, and life. This series was blessed with some of the best actors in England and everyone really did the story justice.
- Subject: No Reservations
- Host: Anthony Bourdain
- Name: 'The Nasty Bits'

- Comments: Tony Bourdain is one of my favourite people in the world these days. He's a smart ass but he's also hilarious and very smart. And very hot. I watch his show all the time, and have read almost all of his books. His show really does teach appreciation for food and for cultures, something that I think America is seriously lacking these days (if not for cultures, then definitely for good food). Adopted from Danielle.

- Comments: One of my favourite Foo Fighters songs, hands down. It is such a great song to rock out to. The video for this song is perhaps the greatest music video in the history of music videos. Perhaps because it's based around the musical 'Fame'. And it without a doubt shows how much talent these guys have, not only as musicians but also as actors and as all-around entertainers. This is a perfect Foo Fighters song.

- Band: The Killers
- Name: 'Like Marlon Brando'

- Comments: This is hands down my favourite Killers song of all time, and definitely in my top five of favourite songs ever. I can listen to this song all day and everyday. Brandon Flowers's voice just kills me, and the words and music just get inside your head. And the fact that Marlon Brando and Greta Garbo are both mentioned does not hurt, either.
